Supporting a charity close to our hearts this Christmas

This year, no doubt, has been challenging for everyone. With Christmas and the New Year fast approaching, we look back on the year we’ve had, and feelings of reflection and contemplation come to the surface. For many, the festive period is a time for family, which makes you wonder about those less fortunate, who might not have a family to spend this time with, or who have unfortunately lost someone close to them.

At LettingaProperty.com, we like to show our support and fundraise for different charities close to our hearts – especially at Christmas time. 2020 has been no different.

This year, our team have raised money for the Harry Bennett Foundation – a local charity providing financial aid to young people who want to get involved in sports.

The charity was set up in memory of Harry Bennett, who was an incredibly loved boy, and a friend to all, who sadly passed away last year aged 16.

The Foundation is particularly close to the heart of our co-founder Matthew, who coached Harry at Kings Norton Rhino’s Rugby Club.

“When watching Harry play rugby and football, we could always recognise his passion and enthusiasm for the game and his team around him.

“The HB9 foundation, set up by his loving family, aims to help other boys and girls by providing essential kit and equipment so they can experience these same qualities and memories through sport”.

The charity, set up by Harry’s father, aims to give young people access to the life-enhancing benefits that sport can bring. This involves supplying new clubs and teams with financial support equipment and training, as well as providing funding for people during respite and broadening accessibility to sport for young people.

In true LettingaProperty.com team spirit style, we have rallied together, swapped our Christmas jumpers for Harry Bennett Foundation t-shirts on #NationalChristmasJumperDay and raised £200 for the charity.
