Landlord uses professional online letting agency to find Tenants

It’s not easy managing a property portfolio.  Having experience in the field for over 23 years, Zenya Allen knows a thing or two about letting property.

Zenya has managed properties in various locations across the globe, running a business in Australia before moving back to England.  Wherever you are in the world though, the challenges remain the same.  Zenya explained, “I’ve always loved to hate property management, regardless of where I’ve lived.  It’s a challenging and time consuming job which can really have you operating at unsocial hours.

Zenya is presently responsible for a large property portfolio comprised of student and professional lets in the UK on behalf of the owner, coping with the heavy administration that this inevitably brings.  On her return to these shores, a colleague recommended as a solution to Zenya’s administration hardship.

Zenya continued, “My friend explained that when she found her tenancy void periods increasing with a previous high street agency, she switched to and the time it took to occupy the properties quickly became shortened. 

When I first took on, I was instantly impressed by its user friendly website.

“It was also obvious the team has great resources and contacts, and clearly understands which websites are best to advertise your properties on.”

Zenya, who only uses s Platinum 'Rent Collection, Guarantee and Home Emergency' service for her owner’s portfolio, has found that use of the online letting agent has led to a more effective management of her working day. 

Zenya now has much less to worry about when it comes to advertising, referencing, drawing up agreements, securing of deposits and collection of rent (“an exceptional service” according to Zenya).  She’s also used’s to-let boards, taking the online, offline.

Indeed, Zenya has found just as helpful away from the laptop.  She explained, “When I have had to call the team, they’ve been really good at assisting me, often guiding me on how best to use their website so I’m less likely to phone for assistance in the future.

“That said, it’s reassuring to know that you’re able to use their service at 1am in the morning, or at 11pm if you absolutely have to.”

“If only they had something like when I was in Australia,” Zenya added – always good to have one over our Aussie counterparts during the Ashes this summer…
